Capetonians can submit proposals to name areas, statues, and streets that are nameless or have duplicates, and vote for those that are under construction by the Mayor.
Submissions are open for 30 days, whereafter no new proposals will be considered.
Naming Guidelines
Names should be associated with:
- Notable figures associated with Cape Town
- Historical events (that promote Cape Town's cultural diversity)
- Flora, fauna and natural features
