The City of Cape Town generates a large amount of useful information and data and places it on our Open Data Portal .

Shared data creates a transparent City and empowers ordinary people, innovators and entrepreneurs to use the data to design new products, which helps to grow the local economy, motivates investors and creates jobs. The data we include in the portal is approved in terms of the Open Data Policy.

An Inclusive City: If you’re interested in specific information and can’t find it in the portal, you can send us a suggestion within the Open Data Portal. We will consider the request and, if the data is available, include it in the portal.
