City advises of Eskom’s critical electricity maintenance in Gordon’s Bay

01 September 2026

The City advises residents in Gordon’s Bay of an upcoming electricity supply interruption for Eskom’s infrastructure maintenance. It will be carried out from 06:30 on Monday, 21 September 2026, to 18:30 and will impact the City’s supply. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential maintenance is being carried out.

All residential areas in Gordon’s Bay will be affected due to the scheduled critical electricity maintenance. Please note that this maintenance is being conducted on Eskom infrastructure, which will directly affect the electricity supply to Gordon's Bay within the City of Cape Town's distribution region.

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned upgrade work. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation.
