Come support local vendors at the Mayor's Craft Market this Thursday!

The City’s Mayor’s Craft Market kicks off on Thursday, 27 August until Friday, 28 August 2026. On the 2nd floor at the Cape Town Civic Centre.

The market will run at the following times:

• 27 August  06:30 – 15:00
• 28 August 06:30 – 14:00

‘The much loved Mayor’s Craft Market will be under way at the Cape Town Civic Centre from this Wednesday, 26 August 2026. Why not plan your trip to the municipality around these dates and brighten up the visit by having a walk through the market to see what special spoils our vendors have on offer. This market is a powerful platform for local entrepreneurs to generate income to support families and build small businesses. The support over the years has been greatly appreciated and I look forward to visiting each stand this week. Come out and support local business. You will never know the difference you are making in the lives of these vendors,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

The Mayor’s Craft Market offers registered vendors a free opportunity to sell their goods. Services and products sold at the market vary from spices, savouries, jewellery, knitwear, chocolates, nuts, skin care, bedding, duvets, succulent pot plants, leather goods and shoes to name a few.
