Have your say on proposed time-restricted one-way system along Zinnia Road in Silvertown

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate is calling on residents, businesses and road users to comment on a proposal to introduce a time-restricted one-way system along Zinnia Road between Lower Klipfontein Road and Durant Road in Silvertown. The public participation period opens today, Tuesday, 11 August 2026, and runs until Friday, 11 September 2026.
The proposal includes:
- A time-restricted one-way along Zinnia Road from Lower Klipfontein Road towards Durant Road in Silvertown.
Interested and affected parties can view or download the technical report and proposed layout on www.capetown.gov.za/haveyoursay or www.capetown.gov.za/collaborate

In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, the public and interested parties or groups are given the opportunity to submit comments, recommendations or input on the proposal to the municipality from 11 August to 11 September 2026.

Special assistance will be given to people who cannot read or write, people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups who are unable to submit written comments to have their inputs or comments recorded and submitted to the municipality.
