Killarney roads team keeps roads looking fresh
13 August 2026
The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas visited accompanied the City’s Killarney Roads Depot team yesterday, 12 August 2026 on one of their road marking jobs where they had to repaint road markings on the corner of Potsdam Road and Blaauwberg Road right outside the very busy Killarney bus terminus. This team does road marking maintenance regularly during drier seasons and they do so right across the road network in Table View and surrounding areas.
‘The
work these teams do each day includes the repainting and refreshing of road
markings to ensure better visibility for both motorists and pedestrians. The
City manages ongoing maintenance like the work the team did yesterday and
upgrades of road markings across its nearly 11,000 km road network throughout
our city.’

‘I want to remind residents that they should report faults or request maintenance service requests via the City's website, by emailing transport.info@capetown.gov.za or calling 0800 65 64 63 ’,said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
