Purpose of the application
It is proposed to constructure a new office block on the subject properties. In this regard the following applications in terms of the MPBL are required from:
- Rezoning of Erf 33967 from Single Residential Zone (SR1) to General Business Subzone (GB1).
- Consolidation of Erven 33952 and 33967.
- Application for the following departures:
a. Item 60(e): To permit the building to be setback between 900 mm and 4,2 m in lieu of 4,5 m on Thornton Road.
b. Item 60(e): To permit the building to be setback 3,16 m in lieu of 4,5 m on Klipfontein Road.
c. Item 137: To permit 12 onsite parking bays in lieu of 40. - Council's approval in terms of Item 141(b) of the Development Management Scheme to permit the loading vehicles to leave the site in reverse gear on Klipfontein Road.
