In accordance with section 16.5 and 16.6 of the
Management of certain of the City of Cape Town’s Immovable Property Policy (adopted by Council on 26 August 2010 C54/08/10) and Chapter 4 of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations (2008) we are considering applications for the lease and renewal of leases of improved properties for a period no longer than three years at a market-related rental or tariff rental in respect of City-owned immovable property across all areas:

The specific details relating to individual transactions will be communicated to the Subcouncil Manager, Subcouncil Chairperson, Ward Councillor and abutting land owners.
Notifications will be posted on notice boards at the Property Transactions Regional Offices:

Please note
The Improved Property Portfolio is completely separate from the Housing Rental Stock Portfolio, which is managed by the City’s Human Settlements Directorate. The Improved Property Portfolio is a market (residential, commercial) and tariff rental (social care) based portfolio, with appropriate qualification criteria.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit completed applications for inclusion on the City's Interested Parties Database. Inclusion on the database does not confer any right or guarantee to a property allocation, lease or other agreement, but ensures that applicants may be considered and contacted when suitable property opportunities become available and are advertised or allocated through the applicable City processes.
The application details including the application form is available via an auto response email at PM.IPApplication@capetown.gov.za.
In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality.
