Comment on the proposed one-way road conversions of Kenmar Crescent in Claremont
03 August 2026
3 August - 4 September 2026
About
We are proposing the introduction of a permanent one-way system along Kenmar Crescent in Claremont.
The one-way conversion aims to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and create a more organised road environment around Herschel Girls Preparatory School. An area with many vulnerable road users during busy drop-off and pick-up times.
The proposal includes:
- A permanent one-way system on Kenmar Crescent from Herschel Road towards Highwick Avenue.
- Parking bays along Kenmar Crescent in the lane adjacent to the school.
By participating in this process, your insights and feedback can help shape a safer, more efficient road for everyone.
In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposed road conversion.
