Comment on the proposed time-restricted one-way conversion of various roads in Sun Valley

17 August 2026

17 August – 17 September 2026

About

We plan to convert various roads around Sun Valley Primary School into time-restricted one-way roads, and we want to hear from you.

The proposed introduction of a time-restricted one-way system around Sun Valley Primary School, from Coracle Street towards Brigantine Avenue, aims to:

  • improve traffic flow,
  • enhance safety, and
  • create a more organised road environment around Sun Valley Primary School, where there are many vulnerable road users during busy drop-off and pick-up times.

The proposal includes:

  • A time-restricted one-way along Coracle Street, Barque Crescent, Schooner Road and Brigantine Avenue.

By participating in this process, your insights and feedback can help shape a safer, more efficient road for everyone.

In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposed road conversion.
